Erdinger Weissbier is not only the undisputed classic in the Erdinger product range, it is also quite simply the wheat beer par excellence.
It is brewed using fine yeast according to a traditional recipe and, of course, in strict accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law. Even today, the beer is still bottle-fermented in the traditional way; it takes three to four weeks for Erdinger Weissbier 'with fine yeast' to mature.
Carefully selected yeast gives this beer its unmistakable Weissbier-rich and fertile beer taste. Especially the fermentation process and the traditional bottle fermentation results in a particularly bubbly and naturally cloudy "Hefeweissbier".
Selected ingredients, a special fermentation process, quality control and perfect polished bottle fermentation, ensure that the Royal Bavarian Weissbier beer bubbly and fresh taste.
This is the beer you can find all the features that make the original Warsteiner beer excellent. In short, 100-percent first-class pleasure. Crafted to produced an authentic re-creation of an IPA. With its pale appearance, strong hoppy taste and higher alcoholic strength it comprises all the genuine characteristics of a true India Pale Ale, which were necessary to survive the three month long journey from Burton to Bombay. Old Empire is brewed using optic malt, a subtle and paler grain that will allow other flavours to come through on the palate. Goldings and Fuggle Hops are added to this brew, which is then late hopped with the American Cascade variety for extra hop strength.
English Aroma Hops, Fuggles and Goldings are added for their fruity, floral and spicy contribution to the taste with the majority of the bitterness coming from the roasted malts. The final result is a rich, dark and exceptionally creamy smooth stout with good character and strength.
